Good news... At the Voter's Assembly this past week the church and school annual budget was accepted. (yawn) The day after, the Church Council put the final touches on the loan package and was just sent off to Lutheran Church Extension Fund. (another yawn)

"Ok.... So why would I want to know that?" you ask. Because in the loan package was a request for funds to pay for a full time Youth Pastor and the funds to help get Youth Ministry at First jump started. The church is hoping to hear back from LCEF within just a couple of weeks. And if LCEF says, "Yes" the long-awaited Youth Pastor will become a reality.

Youth can help in some important ways

• Right now the church needs your prayers that the Lord will bless this endeavor.The Bible says "our prayers count to God." Your personal prayers will make a difference - and right now the church needs them very much.
• You can also show your support and interest to church by worshipping. Those people sitting in the pews that you don't know are the ones who care so much about you and your relationship with Jesus that they're willing to go into debt to obtain a Youth Pastor just for you!
• If you have either design or web experience, contact Pastor Z (462-8000) and volunteer to help to complete the Youth web site.
